Clearing energies and curses, it seems like we are doing a lot of that lately. I just worked with an Akashic Records client who felt some heaviness coming from sources outside of him, and so we did the “Clearing Curses” ceremony for him and his family. You may want to do this too.
Why do we need to clear curses? What are curses anyway? Anytime you say something about someone else you run the risk of cursing them, if you are not careful. Think of a empathic friend of a woman who was raped, who might say to her friend, “#*!”@! men!” and she has just cursed men as a group. It is even worse when it is directed specifically towards an individual!
People don’t always realize how powerful the spoken word can be. Yet, there are plenty of occasions where you are encouraged to use I am statements, or affirmations that use that phrase! “I am happy” and “I am grateful” are two powerful ones. Conversely, your words spoken with emotional emphasis against another human (the emotion may be anger, frustration or annoyance) “curses” the other person and puts an energy block on them. It’s almost like throwing mud! Sometimes spiritual teachers show their students how this works by demonstrating this principle in class. I don’t especially like that idea – but you may have experienced it.
1. Breaking the habit
How do we stop doing that, especially when you really need to vent and when you find yourself feeling particularly annoyed with someone? Practice saying, “Bless that driver in front of me, God knows he needs it!” Substitute with your co-worker, boss, friend, spouse and you’ll get the idea. It’s challenging at first, because we want to make ourselves right – meaning that if we were in their shoes we would do it differently. We think we would do it better! Yet, we are NOT in their shoes, and can only hope that when someone feels that way about us we can be blessed by them!
You can clear curses for yourself and for others. It’s one of the many prayers found in the little guidebook called Reweaving the Fabric or Your Reality.
One thing I always recommend is that you set the stage before doing any clearing work. This means you do some sort of opening ceremony or prayer that will create a matrix of love and light around you. This is similar to wearing protective gear of any kind before doing something that could be dangerous. I recommend everyone always say some sort of morning prayer. Here’s a short one that I use occasionally:
Morning Prayer:
I ask that the full expression of my Highest self be ever present with me this day. I ask for the Masters, Teachers and Guides of me to be ever present this day and ask that they be given full access to my four lower bodies (physical body, mental body, emotional body, and etheric body).
I offer myself in humble gratitude in service to the Great White Brotherhood, legions of 100 White Lights and all beings of 100% white Light who are here working with me.
I ask that this divine guidance assist me and allow me to pursue my soul’s highest purpose in this lifetime with the most evolved appearance possible that expresses in the kindest, most generous and gentle way. Amen.
2. Other kinds of clearing
There are more ways to think about clearing, as individuals can pick up entities and walk around with more that one soul or energy that is not of their own making! As hard as this might be to believe, consider that the most common entity possession is the deceased parent of an adult son or daughter who is hoping to help or learn something by moving into their adult offspring instead of going to the light when they die.
Another form of energy that can hold a person up is the energy that has collected in an area that represents heavy emotion. I knew a traveling salesman who said he could always tell when the hotel room he used had been used excessively for sex because the energy would literally meet him at the door! After hearing that, I always asked Archangel Michael to clear the sleeping room of any hotel that I might be staying in.
If you have ever walked the “Trail of Tears” you might have accessed the energy of sadness and despair that the American Indians must have experienced during their long trek to the reservation. From Wikipedia:
The Trail of Tears was a series of forced removals of Native American nations from their ancestral homelands in the Southeastern United States to an area west of the Mississippi River that had been designated as Indian Territory. The forced relocations were carried out by various government authorities following the passage of the Indian Removal Act in 1830. The relocated people suffered from exposure, disease, and starvation while en route, and more than four thousand died before reaching their various destinations. The removal included members of the Cherokee, Muscogee, Seminole, Chickasaw, and Choctaw nations. The phrase “Trail of Tears” originated from a description of the removal of the Cherokee Nation in 1838.
If you have lived a past life as one of those Native Americans who went through that difficult experience, and now are drawn to go visit it, you might suddenly be filled with a much bigger emotion than curiosity. This is likely because your past life connection, along with the location, gives you the crosshairs to open a portal to that experience. By physically going there in this lifetime, and re-experiencing it, you actually can go a long way towards healing it for yourself as you are living once again, and add the continuity of life to the trauma.
3. Family Entities
Sometimes a person will actually trade just a section of a family member, while both are still living. Imagine for a moment a child trying to tie his shoes. Mother is calling, “It’s time to go.” The older brother jumps in and says, “Here, I will teach you one last time…” and voila, you trade a piece of yourself for your brother. This is a family entity, and usually isn’t a problem until you begin your spiritual journey and cannot seem to stop a behavior that is remarkably similar to another family member. This “chunk” of another family member is easily cleared and traded back for the part of you that you originally traded.
