For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
– John 5:4, The Holy Bible
This came to me in a dream yesterday.
In 1835 New York City was threatened with a serious outbreak of Cholera. The Croton Aqueduct was built providing the city with fresh water, putting an end to the disease troubling New York at the time. This feat of engineering helped end the city’s outbreak of Cholera which was due to lack of fresh water! The fountain commemorating this was named after the Bethesda Pool of the new testament, where the Angel agitated the waters and the first into the pool became healed of whatever afflicted them.
It’s time to stir the “troubled waters.” It’s time to ask for help from the Angels and our unseen helpers. Here’s an easy prayer you can say, every time you hear news about the coronavirus.
With love to the Angels,
Maureen St Germain

*The sculpture, photographed by Sylvia Moss, and created by Emma Stebbins, called The Angel of WATERS, (aka Archangel Raphael) – commemorating the building of the Croton Aqueduct, and Reservoir, commissioned by the Parks Commissioner. The Fountain is called the Bethesda Fountain, and we neglected to say… in Bethesda Terrace, in Central Park Park, New York City.
