Getting ready to Understand the Higher Self

What is the Higher Self? The Higher Self is the aspect of you that is fully connected to God. It is an aspect of you that exists right now, in fifth dimension. Sometimes we call it the fifth dimensional self. There is more than one version of you in higher dimensions. By connecting to your Higher Self, your fifth dimensional self, you gain access to aspects of you that are 5th Dimensional and possibly higher. This means you can know what you need to know, before you need to know it!

I had never heard of asking the Higher Self anything before I began my work as a meditation teacher in the early ’90s. My teacher told us there were certain things that would be permitted to do once we had permission from our Higher Self. Yet, no one was talking about what that meant. No one would tell us what that connection or what permission would look like. It was all left up in the air.

This course answers those early questions that I had, and takes you on the journey of connection to your own Higher Self. In this four-part series you will learn what the Higher Self is, how to use the Higher Self, practice with your Higher Self for six weeks, and become plugged into or connected to your Higher Self for a life filled with joy, happiness and understanding.[/fullwidth]

Understanding the Higher Self

When I first Learned about the Higher Self I was told the only way to connect was to become like a child. How, I wondered, could we possibly become like a child, when the ‘cat was out of the bag’ so to speak? I now realize it’s the innocent child, devoid of ego that was spoken of. I will share more about that later in the course. Becoming child like is one method but not the only way to connect with your Higher Self. This method will give you a simple, logic set of steps that will produce the true effect of becoming childlike in the process.

The way I will teach you will bypass your natural behaviors, instincts, biases, bad habits, or anything else that could get in the way of your success. This is why this particular method is so universal. It is practical and useful. It’s fun and easy. When I first received permission from my Higher Self to move forward in the work I was studying, I did not act on it. You might be thinking, “Why not?” It’s true. My friend, called me one day asking, “Did you get permission from your Higher Self?” “Yes.” I answered. “Did you do it?” “No.” “Why not?” he demanded.

I was pretty sure I had permission. I thought my Higher Self had said, “Yes,” but I wasn’t 100% sure. I did move forward a few days later. Why didn’t I act when I received permission? I wasn’t 100% sure. Has this happened to you? Probably.

This began my quest for finding an accurate way to access your Higher Self and to have 100% accuracy. Now it’s your turn to learn from my experiences and not take years to do it! Congratulations. Go for it.

How to know for sure it is the Higher Self?

This became one of my goals. How could I know for sure? What could I do to help myself know the Higher Self connection? What did it look like? What did it feel like? Back then I was not a very visual person and I was the last one, in our class of 17 persons, to get the “color” exercises, or see the things we practiced at that course.

I asked for and received direct guidance on how to develop this connection. My goal was to build a library of tools for my students to help them identify and know with absolute certainty that their Higher Self direction was real, provable and authentic.

In the pages of this course, I will share with you these tools and give you specific examples and exercises to get you to a place of accuracy What a release! What a relief! To know you can do this! And to know your results will give you 100% accuracy.

Before we do that, though, I want to teach you about some other things that will happen to you along the way. I would like to share with you what to expect when you begin to work with your Higher Self. I want you to know first, before it happens.

You will get tested to find out if your commitment is real, if you’re sincere and if you’re going to follow through. Please take a moment now and pencil in an hour into your schedule, at least three times this week to practice and work on your Higher Self connection. Make a date with yourself and then keep it. The most important thing that you need to do to make this happen is to practice.

When I was learning French, at one point my teacher was quite disgusted with me and asked me why don’t you want to learn French? I was shocked at her question. How could this be? I showed up for lessons. I paid for them. Before I could answer her question I asked her why she was asking. She said “You never practice. Showing up for a lesson with me is not enough. You must practice.” It’s an important lesson for all of us to learn.

It isn’t enough to read this work if you are unwilling to do the practice. You are better off being honest with yourself and saying I never practice and this is not a course for me. If you are sincere, you can ask your Higher Self to help you, and you will succeed. I will tell you, that the practice is very easy, and can be done at home, currently with the other things that you do. Most importantly is your mental commitment to remember to practice while you are out and about having your day. The rest will follow.

Blow to the heart

The heart is the translator for the Higher Self information. The more open your heart is, the clearer the incoming information will be. It is in your best interest to stay open and work through the blows to the heart so that you can advance in your understanding of what your Higher Self has in store for you. Open the channels of communication to your heart.

One way to do this is through a blow to the heart. This is not something you will plan on doing, but will occur quite naturally, once you have agreed to connect with your heart. It is a natural occurrence, that you set yourself up for in the ethers to ensure your success. It will hurt.

What is the blow to the heart? A blow to the heart occurs when someone who is close to you, someone who is in your inner circle, someone you love and trust, does something that you believe they know better. It might be something as simple as buying you the wrong brand of shampoo when you ask them to stop and pick it up from the store. It could be changing a date and not communicating clearly about the change and leaving you in the lurch.

Generally you experience shock, disbelief, and the idea of “How could they?” You feel that they know better. You become hurt and your emotions are real. Remember to give your emotions a voice. This does not mean you have permission to beat them up verbally because they let you down. It simply means that you are to express your disappointment one time.

A blow to the heart comes from someone you love unconditionally and who does something hurtful. It will literally crack open one of the many layers that you keep around your heart to keep your heart safe.

When this happens, you have a choice, The choices are: Love them anyway in spite of this mistake. Or, you can judge them and be angry with them and hold yourself in a position of expecting an apology or more. We hope the best answers are obvious to you. Decide to love them anyway.

A blow to the heart is to help you become more openhearted. When you lose a layer of protection around your heart you actually are able to express more love, more kindness and more compassion.

How to get close to your Higher Self

I hope that you will remember this so that when you experience a “blow to the heart” you can decide to open your heart even more and become closer and closer with your Higher Self. Remember that this is a tool to advance your spiritual connections quickly. Even though you may not understand this – in this moment, always ask your Higher Self for help and the Higher Self of the other person to talk, or intervene on your behalf, to help smooth over difficulties between you and the other person.

Love is the fuel. Your Higher Self needs your open heart’s love (fuel) to understand and interpret the information coming in through the Higher Self. You are capable of higher and higher expressions of unconditional love. Rocket fuel (for vehicles) contains higher octane to produce jet propulsion just as your love quotient increases your ability to move and understand the Third Dimension reality we live in.

Love is the basis for the Fifth Dimension reality that we are evolving towards. Give yourself the blessing of opening your heart every chance you get. What you desire is a level of unconditional love that enables clear communication from the Fifth Dimension Higher Self.


Deepak Chopra has shown in his research that the average person experiences 60,000 thoughts a day. Only 10% of those thoughts are about the present! How can we create the present if our thoughts are stuck in the past or future?

The mind uses the mental body to go to the future and discover, “Oh this has happened in the past. Therefore I must protect myself, or I will be afraid because this may happen again. Here is my potential for the future.” A clear person can feel all of this and then think, “I can incorporate the past and the future and re-create a new future.” It’s the mind that gets into the machinations. So when this starts, sometimes it is like a locomotive that cannot stop.

My recommendation is that you decide, in this moment, that you will only tell your sad story three times. In this way you don’t re-create your difficult emotion, and seed the universe with what you don’t want. It is also helpful at this juncture to consider the possibility, that you might need to clear out some old difficult emotions that have gotten stuck in your field.

The easiest way to do this, is to practice a wonderful chant called the Hathor chant. I will teach it to you and it will be one of your free recordings. You will find this chant will literally clear out your pranic tube of old unresolved emotions. I collect a colonic for the pranic tube!

Cleaning the Pranic Tube

Some of you may be familiar with the pranic tube. Others may have never heard of it before. This is the tube similar in size and length to a fluorescent tube light bulb. It begins about one hand length above your head and extends the length of your body in front of your spine emerging out the torso through the perineum, running between the legs ending about one hand length below the feet.

Your pranic tube can get jammed with unresolved energy, difficult repeating patterns. emotions and more. One of the things that we have learned from the Hathors is a way to clear it, so that you can get connected to Mother Earth and to all of life.

This particular chant, will also tune you with the basic elements of Mother Earth: Earth, Air, Fire and Water. These elements have consciousness and are helping Mother Earth evolve. When we are loaded up with negative emotions, the four major elements take the overload. This is why it’s useful to clear yourself, and along the way this clears Earth, Air, Fire and Water elements so they can work smoothly on behalf of the earth!

What kind of emotions are you running in your pranic tube?

Typically if they are negative emotions from some difficult situation of your past they can be cleared. Sometimes we replay the good happy events. Mostly, in our current life we have gotten used to repeating negative emotions more frequently than our positive ones. This is why clearing out the pranic tube and learning to tune to the elements will enable you to heal the past and to be in the present, the most important event of all. Be prepared for some interesting things to occur when you do this chant!

Preparing to do the Pranic Tube, Hathor Chant

The Hathor Chant came to me through the Hathors. The Hathors are ancient beings whose roots are from the Arcturians. They came to earth from Venus at the behest of the ascended Master Sanat Kumara. They are the most evolved creatures in our solar system, embodying unconditional love.

The Hathors ask you to chant in segments of four times and only in repetitions of four (e.g. 4x, 8x, 16x, etc.). Hathors show up to work with you in groups of four; one in front, one behind, one on your left and one on your right which is why they prefer repetitions of four. Ideally you would recite this four to the fourth power, 44  which totals 256 repetitions. Fortunately we have done the counting for you, so using the CD allows you to really get into your toning! It also helps you continue your singing, even when you are alone!

Working with them gives you a mastery of unconditional love above and beyond what you were capable of this moment. Using this chant daily will restore your vibration to a very high state. One of my students made a contract with them to do this chant for a year. She is one of the most clear, emotionally balanced and sweet individuals you will ever meet. She wasn’t always this way, and she attributes her clear energy field to the Hathors.

The Four Lower Bodies

Originally Creation wanted a way to explore these experiences after they had been felt and the emotional body was born! The problem was that the – captain’s log – of emotion became a miasma of feeling that could be accessed, for some too easily, replacing the present with its counterpart in the past. It also was not understood how deeply humans would feel emotional pain. What are the four lower bodies? They are: Physical, Mental, Emotional and Etheric. Each represents a field of energy that exists around the body. The smallest one is the physical one; the next larger one is the mental body, beyond that is the emotional body (people are actually starting to see this one) and the etheric body, which carries the original blueprint and DNA records.

It is important to understand the true link between the four lower bodies and the elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water. As we engage our energies to clear them it is helpful to understand the stage that we are working from. This will help you to move your awareness into this chant. Fortunately, if you will do your part, the Hathors will handle the “point of awareness” shift. Get ready for an amazing ride.

What happens when you encounter an experience that has occurred to you before? The emotional body immediately links to the past. It says, “This has happened before.” And recognition sets in. It then uses your memory to re-create this scenario, and a chain reaction sets in. The Hathor chant rebalances and clears those patterns so you don’t run on autopilot in this way.

Additionally it’s important to understand that mother Earth expresses through the elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water. The core elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water all manifest through the emotions. Consider how you use these elements when your emotions become escalated, and understand that you can direct and produce energy in a productive way that allows for true joy to move through you.

The emotional body represents the past to you. It stores the feelings of past occurrences. Memories are good. Emotion is energy-in-motion. It is chi or energy that is qualified with a memory.

However, it is energy that is caught in a web of time. Emotion must be felt to be cleared. This is why unexpressed emotion is so dangerous. When your pranic tube is completely clear and resonating the pure elements, emotions come and go. They can be deep or wide, but they are moving!

Clearing The Emotional Wounds Is Essential

Until we clear emotional wounds our ascension process is limited. The ability to understand and work with your Higher Self to heal the wounds is not clearly understood. However the process can be speeded up with additional emotional clearing.

Even Lord Krishna (Known as a Divine Being and an incarnation of the one true God, he is also the hero of Bhagavad Gita and part of one of the most celebrated epic stories of the Mahabharata, written between the fifth and second centuries B.C., and is required reading for any Yoga instructor) himself, star of the Bhagavad Gita, has promised to deliver you from your emotional scars and hurts.

Krishna promises to help you with any childhood or other experience that is painful and difficult for you. Devotion to him is easy through singing mantras and bhajans to him.* His request is to visualize him standing over any past wounds or traumas, in this lifetime or any others. A good friend, was visited by Krishna in a meditation during a particularly difficult time. Once visited by him you will never forget him. His body is distinctly blue in color. He is usually seen driving his chariot.

Please note: I invite you to an amazing experience. Take time to  completed the Hathor chant for one whole session of 264 forward repetitions. It will take you about 40 minutes. Be prepared for an incredibly high experience. Please keep your hands palms up, on your lap (or palms up on a pillow on your lap) so the Hathors can work with your hands as well.

Consider doing this chant several times this week.

El Ka Leem Om – These words are “Hathor” for Earth, Fire, Water and Air. Since we don’t say them that way intuitively, I wanted a way to remember which word stood for which element. When I asked the Hathors to help me remember which was which, they gave me this visual. See yourself in Hawaii approaching the mountain, that’s the first word El for Earth. See the fire coming out of the mountain, that is Ka for fire. Next imagine the rain coming to calm the fire, that’s Leem for water. Finally the wind moves in to cleans it all, that’s Om for Air. When you sing these basic sounds for the elements you are tuning to them and activating your alignment to them. You are blessing them with your voice, which helps them to build resonance. After many years of practicing this chant daily, I find the elementals go out of their way to harmonize with me, and provide me with beautiful weather when traveling to a city, and when in a home city – when I’m scheduled to be outside! Consider doing this with your friends. Make sure you let them know before you start this meditation that some very interesting things can happen. For example you may find your body becomes unmovable. You will feel frozen. It may feel like your body is paralyzed. This is wild, I know. Yet, if this happens to you or your friends, choose to be grateful. It means that Hathors are working with you, and have stabilized your physical body so they can work on your pranic tube. Nice.

This tool will help you clear out that last little bit of holding out that occurs for most people – the part they don’t even admit to themselves. Please try it – and see if you don’t notice a difference in how you are interacting with others after a few days of doing it daily.

The following short practice is an abbreviated form of a very powerful exercise found in the book, Beyond the Flower of Life, Chapter 2. In the abbreviated form above, you’ll listen to the instructions, then participate actively by announcing your name every time I ask you to “say your name.”

Have fun with this one, it is meant to be joyful. Play with it often. Then if you are inspired do the full exercise found in the book.

Optional Exercise: Download Sacred Chants called Bhajans.

Bhajan is any type of Hindu devotional song. It has no fixed form: it may be as simple as a mantra or kirtan or as sophisticated as the dhrupad or kriti with music based on classical ragas and talas. It is normally lyrical, expressing love for the Divine.

I especially like “Hare Krishna,” as it invokes Lord Krishna. Remember, Krishna’s request is to visualize him standing over any past wounds or traumas, in this lifetime or any others as you invoke his help. You can listen to bhajans on You Tube or purchase your favorites on iTunes.

The particular form of Kirtan I prefer is a type of call and response made popular by Krishna Das. If you’ve never heard Krishna Das’s lyrical voice, you are missing out. Just listening to him, can open your heart. In the call and response form you learn the phrases by repeating after him.

This form gets you practicing the chant with grace and ease. Remember, one of your purposes, to listening or singing along to these devotional songs, is for you to heal childhood wounds. Healing your childhood wounds helps you expand your heart availability to your Higher Self communication.

Practice at least 3 times a week.

Your practice period this week should include singing along with these chants to help you open up your pranic tube and to clear your heart of wounds. At least one of these sessions you will do the heart opening meditation as well, as the chant. If you are creative, consider writing your own “opening prayer” that you will use on a daily basis!
